Blessed are the merciful: they shall have mercy shown them” (Matthew 5:7)
Dear Brothers and Sisters!
In 2016 we are going to experience a great event for Evangelisation – the World Youth Days. The Holy Father Francis invited young people from all over the world to come to Poland, the homeland of St. John Paul II and St. Faustine.
To meet the needs of Brothers in the whole world, who have a desire to come to Cracow, as well as organizational challenges that are connected to this, a year ago we founded Cracow 2016 Organization Centre for the Neocatechumenal Way. The centre was created as a result of the experience of many pilgrimages to the previous World Youth Days, but first and foremost as an expression of gratitude to the Church, which, through the Way, cares for us and leads us.
In this way, we would also like to thank a number of Brothers, who, in different parts of the world, helped us and served the best they could during the previous World Youth Days. Our last stay in hospitable Brazil is especially vivid in our memories.
The tasks of the Centre are: to support the groups from the Way in organising their pilgrimage, especially accommodation, transport, food, evangelisation and communication, with particular attention to the nations that are in need.
A special website has already been created for the time of preparations for the World Youth Days: www.krakow2016cnc.com. The site has been prepared in 8 language versions. You will find there a lot of useful information and a registration form for groups. Hence, we would like to ask you, Brothers, to register your groups through our registration system as soon as possible. In this way we will know about you and your needs.
This will also help us to estimate the total number of pilgrims from the Way and arrange a meeting with the Initiators of the Way.
Without the above mentioned information, it would be difficult for us to help you organize your stay and to host you in a proper way. We would like to remind you that our registration system is independent of the official registration for the World Youth Days, which will be open in the second half of 2015.
We will do our best to provide you with the necessary support, although we are aware that our possibilities are limited and many times we will not be able to help everyone as they might wish. There is still a lot of work, but as St. Paul writes: “There is nothing I cannot do in the One who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13).
Asking you to pray, we entrust the whole event of the World Youth Days and the service of the Centre to the Holy Mother of Jasna Góra who leads us to Christ. Let Her be the patron saint of your pilgrimage to meet the Peter of our times – Pope Francis. Thanks be to God for His Son – Jesus Christ, for His death and glorious resurrection. Have a good Passover!
Peace be with you!
